I feel like I have an infant again!

Wow, has it been a crazy few days. On Saturday night, Izzy went to bed completely fine, and then later during the night she woke up with a runny nose and cough. It kept getting worse so the next day we started breathing treatments, since any little sickness or cold really makes her asthma flare up. She's been waking up multiple times per night, and I feel like I have new-mom ears again! Every little cough and I run to her bed! We've also started a really bad habit of letting her into bed with us since she is so sick. This is really going to be a challenge once she's feeling better. We've been getting next to nothing for sleep, but we've made it through without any major issues. I'm starting to feel a little sick, but I'm hoping I get over it quick. Because she wasn't getting any better, yesterday the doctor decided to put her on another medication for her breathing treatments, and put her on steroids. They make her a bit hyper, so she really didn't want to sleep last night, but once she fell asleep she only woke up once. She's actually a little better today I think! I'm really hoping she feels better soon, because her birthday is this weekend! If we have to cancel her birthday party she will be so disappointed, except the 24 serving Tinkerbell cake we ordered her will ease that blow! If you feel like saying a prayer, please do so, I really want her to feel better for her birthday!

Cutesy Caddy Review and Giveaway!

If you have a daughter, chances are that hair accessories are a topic of great frustration for you. Storing them, organizing them, and the biggest one, finding them when you need them can be very difficult! My daughter is quite the little hairbow diva, so we have a lot of hair bows, hair ties, scrunchies, and clips to keep straight. It never fails when we are running late and she wants a certain one, we can never find it! However, we don't feel this way anymore now that we've discovered the amazing Cutesy Caddy!

The Cutesy Caddy is an innovative new accessory organizer that can be used for many different items, which can be organized by color. The best part of organizing by color is that every time you reach for a color specific item, you know exactly where it is! This feature is also great for little girls who are learning their colors, because they can help out in the organizing process, having fun along the way! It's also a lot more stylish to have on display in a little girl's room than the typical boring plastic containers on the market.

The creator of the Cutesy Caddy is Diane, a very creative mom and inventor who, along with her daughter, was very frustrated with the hair accessory organizing products already on the market. They were tired of making due with plastic containers, bags, jars, and tins to store hair accessories, so out of frustration, Diane decided to try her hand at creating a better product that would offer a solution to others in the same boat. Well, she definitely achieved her goal because now moms all over the country are enjoying the fun they are having teaching their daughters to organize all of their hair accessories!

To use the Cutesy Caddy all you have to do is place the accessory in the matching color-coded flower petal compartment. The Cutesy Caddy's features have been well planned and thought out, with one of my favorites being the ridges of the base of the flower, which helps keep the removable petals and lids in place. Another great feature is how much space there is, and even the girls with hundreds of hair accessories will be able to fit them in this product! The adorable butterfly handle is also great for taking your Cutesy Caddy on the go! And the Cutesy Caddy isn't just for hair accessories! You can store jewelry, craft, sewing, or scrapbooking supplies, office items, and pretty much anything else you can think of! I'd recommend this organizing item for baby shower, birthday, holiday, teacher gifts and more, and I'm sure this unique item would be right up any little girl's alley as a just because gift!

I was so impressed with this product, and we love using it everyday. All you moms of girls out there will probably understand how crazy it can get when you have a little girl's bows to organize, and the Cutesy Caddy really does get the job done. Now that we have the Cutesy Caddy, it's so easy for us to keep track of all of Izzy's beautiful hair bows and accessories, and we can always find what we're looking for, which comes in handy on those especially busy mornings! The best part of the Cutesy Caddy has been how much fun Izzy has had in helping out and taking care of her hair accessories, which has taught her some responsibility for her possessions. This product retails for approximately $21, but it replaces so many other products that I think it's totally worth it!

I love Kolcraft!

I've really got to hand it to Kolcraft as a company. Not only do they provide some of the best products for babies and toddlers on the market, but they truly care about helping people along the way. I just wanted to make you all aware of the awesome efforts by Kolcraft to help send aid to the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. They will be hosting a silent auction on their facebook page over the weekend, and I strongly encourage you to show your support in this way. Click here to join in with the giving. Thanks Kolcraft for being an awesome company!

Kolcraft has partnered with the charity KIDS, who has a relief fund for Haitian children who have been affected by the earthquake. The silent auction features products from the Contours line & all proceeds will go to the KIDS relief fund.

Prayers for the people of Haiti

I just wanted to take a second to ask everyone to take a few moments of silence to pray for the people of Haiti who have been so devastatingly affected by the earthquake yesterday. Sometimes it can be very easy to succumb to the pressures of our daily lives, especially when it comes to the state of our economy these days. However, the majority of Americans will never even be able to fathom the kind of extreme poverty experienced by so many Haitians on a daily basis. When I was in high school we had a sister school in Haiti, and every year we would hold fundraisers to raise money for the school, and then a teacher would travel there to deliver everything. One year the priest from the school traveled to the U.S. to visit our school and thank us for the help we were giving. I still remember the joy on the priests face, even though he was so used to experiencing such hardship with his people. The Haitians I have met in my own life have always had this joy and love for life, though they lack so much materially. I guess what I'm trying to say is that even in hardship we can still find joy and peace, just like the people of Haiti. I hope you will join me in praying for the people of Haiti, that they may find hope and strength in the days to come.

Back for good... let's hope!

I just want to take a moment to thank everyone who offered their warm wishes and prayers to us during the past week as we laid my husband's grandfather to rest. To everyone who reached out to me, be it through comments or emails, know that it was truly appreciated. It's so nice to be part of such a loving blog community! I'm glad to report that I should be back for good now! Let's hope nothing else springs up!

I have a lot of exciting things coming up both in my real life and blog life. This coming Monday I start my masters classes, which I'm REALLY excited about! I can't wait to be in a classroom full of people who are as passionate about specific subjects as I am! It's going to be a lot of work, but I know it will be worth it. Second, I have some great events coming up, along with some normal reviews and giveaways (with better than ever products!). Thirdly, my baby is about to turn 3. I can't even believe it! She is growing up WAY too fast! But, I must admit, as she grows older, it's like each new stage is my new favorite! I love that we are at the Polly Pockets and Littlest Pet Shop phase, it's so fun to just watch her imagination take flight!

I hope you all are easing back into the swing of things after the holidays, and that you all stay warm, it's pretty cold where we are! And here's a link to a coupon for all those wives with hubbies who like Taco Bell! Click here for a printable coupon good for one free Fresco Taco!

Sorry I've been a bit scarce lately...

Hello everyone, I hope you're all having a wonderful end to the holiday season. I just wanted to share with my "blogging family" out there that my husband's grandfather passed away last Thursday, so that's why I've been away. While I only knew him for a few years, I will surely miss him! We're very glad that Izzy got to know him, since she was his only great-grandchild. If you feel moved to do so, please keep my husband's family in your prayers during this hard time. The funeral is on Tuesday, so I'll try to be back to my normal posting schedule on Wednesday.
